Siena College celebrated its annual Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Summer Symposium in the Maloney Great Room last week. Siena students shared with the community the faculty-led research they completed over the summer.

More than 200 new freshman, transfer and international students have been awarded merit scholarships to attend SUNY Oneonta beginning in the fall 2016 semester. The award amounts range from $1,000 to full in-state tuition scholarships of $6,470 per year.

Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.

Coastal Carolina University's held commencement ceremonies for an estimated 360 candidates for graduation Aug. 5, 2016, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. Speaker Robert Young congratulated the class for being the 'first CCU students ever to graduate from the number one university in the nation,' referencing the national College World Series baseball title CCU won on June 30. Young is professor of marine science and director of undergraduate research at CCU.
